Three Titans Fall as BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 Round of 32 Delivers Chaos
Vitality, Falcons, and Aurora are all out of BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 already — the reigning Major champions among the biggest casualties of a chaotic Round of 32.
Round of 32 Results
The opening round of BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 has wasted no time producing chaos. Of the 15 matches played so far, three results stand out above the rest: Vitality, Falcons, and Aurora, three of the biggest names in the sport, are all out in the Round of 32.
The Titans Who Fell
Vitality 0-2 Liquid
Liquid swept Vitality without dropping a map, a result few would have predicted on paper. It is an ominous start to the tournament for one of the most consistently dominant rosters in Counter-Strike, and an outstanding statement result for Liquid heading into the next round. Notably, this is the first big result for Liquid's recently refreshed lineup, with Jorko (joined July 9) and new IGL JT (joined just days before the event, July 22) both featuring in the sweep. Early days, but a promising sign that the new pieces are already clicking.
Falcons 1-2 100 Thieves
The reigning IEM Cologne Major champions were knocked into the lower bracket by 100 Thieves in a three-map series. Falcons arrive at this event as the biggest scalp of the round, their first loss since lifting the Major trophy in Cologne, and a reminder that no result in Bounty format is guaranteed.
Aurora 1-2 FOKUS
Aurora, semifinalists at the last Major, were pushed to a decider by FOKUS and could not close it out. Another big-name casualty, and another sign that this Round of 32 is playing out far from according to script.
Notable Player
rain was the driving force behind 100 Thieves' upset of Falcons, the veteran rifler stepping up when it mattered most to help send the reigning Major champions to the lower bracket. It is exactly the kind of experienced, clutch performance that has defined his career, delivered on the biggest stage of the tournament so far.
New Faces Making an Early Impact
Liquid are not the only side getting early returns on recent roster moves. MOUZ, fresh off confirming PR's transfer from GamerLegion on July 14, cruised past Nuclear TigeRES 2-0 in his first appearance for the team. Similarly, Ninjas in Pyjamas brought in n0te as a stand-in back on June 22, and he was part of the 2-0 sweep of M80 in the Round of 32. Both are small early sample sizes, but promising starts for players still settling into new environments.

My Take
Three Round of 32 exits for Vitality, Falcons, and Aurora is a heavier toll than most would have expected at this stage. Falcons in particular arrive off the back of a Major title, and to see them beaten by 100 Thieves so soon afterward says a lot about how unforgiving this bracket format can be. With DENDELE and FURIA still to play, the Round of 32 has one match left to produce its final surprise, but the headline is already written: this is shaping up to be a tournament where reputation counts for very little.
