Day 5 of the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 concluded with three dramatic do-or-die matches that determined the final playoff spots. PARIVISION, Aurora, and Natus Vincere emerged victorious to complete the eight-team bracket, while FUT, Astralis, and G2 were eliminated in heartbreaking fashion.
PARIVISION Survives Overtime Thriller
PARIVISION secured their playoff berth with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over FUT in what proved to be the most dramatic series of the day. The opening map on Dust2 went to double overtime, with PARIVISION narrowly edging out FUT 19-17 in a nail-biting finish. FUT fought back on their Mirage pick, taking the map 13-10 to force a decider. However, PARIVISION regrouped on Ancient and closed out the series 13-10 to punch their ticket to the playoffs at 3-2.
Aurora Dominates to Reach Playoffs
The Turkish squad Aurora delivered a commanding performance against Astralis, sweeping them 2-0 to advance. Aurora took Astralis's Overpass pick convincingly 13-7, before closing out the series on their own Dust2 pick with a 13-11 victory. The result sees Aurora reach the playoffs at 3-2, while Astralis's upset run comes to an end at 2-3.
Natus Vincere Bounces Back Strong
Tournament favorites Natus Vincere showed their championship pedigree by dismantling G2 2-0 in a crucial elimination match. Despite playing on G2's Dust2 pick, Natus Vincere dominated 13-7, before securing the series with a 13-9 win on their Ancient pick. The clean sweep sees Natus Vincere advance at 3-2, while G2's tournament ends in disappointment at 2-3.
